| What we believe... |
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God. His unchanging and inerrant message meant for all people of all time.
- There is only One God. He clearly reveals Himself as three distinct and separate persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- God created man holy and without sin. Man, of his own free will, fell into sin and so brought sin and its consequences on the whole human race.
- Sin is in all people by nature and reveals itself in every transgression of God's holy will in our thoughts, desires, words, and actions.
- The wages of sin, what we deserve because of our sinful nature and sinful actions, is death and damnation in hell. A very real, agonizing, and eternal separation from the holy and righteous God.
- God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem the entire world from its sin.
- Jesus redeemed, that is, paid the ransom price for the whole human race with His holy precious blood and with His innocent sufferings and death.
- This life-saving, life-changing truth is accepted by faith which is worked in the heart by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacrament–Holy Baptism and Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper).
- By faith alone in the atoning work of Christ, we are made children of God and are empowered to live differently. Our earthly lives are dedicated to honoring God and serving others to show our love for Him who first loved us.
- At our death we shall inherit the full glories of everlasting life with Christ in heaven. Just as God has promised, there shall be no pain or sorrow, and all the tears shall be wiped from our eyes.
