Holy Week Worship Sign-Ups
Our Holy Week service schedule is posted on our website. An email with a link to sign up for these services will go out to the congregation today. Please take a look and sign up for the various services as soon as you can, or as soon as you know what your plans are, so that we can do our best with the limited capacity to welcome as may worshippers as possible. If you know that you will have additional family members worshipping with you for any of these services, please include them on the sign-up as well. Also, please consider who you might invite for these special services where the good news of all that Jesus did to redeem us in his death and resurrection will be proclaimed.
Bennett Suedmeier welcomed through Baptism
We praise God that in worship this past Saturday, we welcomed Bennett Suedmeier, infant son of Duane and Emily, into God’s family through the sacrament of Holy Baptism! Emily will continue to be on maternity leave for another couple of weeks. We ask God’s blessing and care for their family and look forward to Emily resuming her work among us.

Keep Praying For Pastor Westra
On February 7th, we called Pastor Matthew Westra of Morristown, TN to serve as our second pastor here at Bethany. He has not yet reached a decision on this call, so please keep Pastor Westra and his family in your prayers as he continues to deliberate, asking that God give him guidance and peace in his decision.
Looking Ahead: Holy Week
Our service schedule is posted on our Website. Sign-ups will begin next week to make sure that we can accommodate all who wish to join us for worship at these special services. One thing we are doing to help with this is adding a 10:30AM service on the Parkway Campus for Easter. There will be no Monday service however. Watch for sign-ups coming soon!
Provoking Proverbs Bible Study
The Provoking Proverbs bible study is only half way through! If you missed Sunday, join us Tuesday evening via Zoom; the link for that bible study was sent on Monday morning. Or join us on Wednesdays in person in the Parkway basement at 11AM, immediately following our midweek Lenten service. If you can’t make it this week, make plans to join us next week in any of the studies!

Guest Preacher This Weekend - Pastor Evan Chartrand
Pastor Evan Chartrand from Luther Preparatory School in Watertown will bring us the message this weekend. Luther Prep is one of our two synodical high schools whose primary purpose is to train those who are considering fulltime Gospel ministry. Pastor Chartrand will provide a brief overview and update on the work going on at Luther Prep at each of our weekend services.

Although Lenten services look a little different this year, they are still in full swing! Make plans to join us at the Parkway Campus either the 10AM service or the 6PM campus. If you’re not feeling comfortable with in-person services, the 6PM service will be Live-streamed on Facebook. All services are available on our website after the fact as well. New Sermon Series - The Language of Lent
A new sermon series for the Sundays in Lent is beginning this upcoming weekend. The Language of Lent - in this series, we’ll take a close look at some of the words that really capture the essence of this season - words like Temptation, Obedience, Grace, Covenant, and Humility. Please join us this weekend and those that follow as we learn more about the language of Lent.

Ash Wednesday is February 17th!
Our midweek Lenten services begin on Ash Wednesday. Worship times are 10AM and 6PM on our Parkway Campus. Our 6PM service will also be Livestreamed each Wednesday during Lent. Please use the link sent by email to sign up for these services! On Wednesdays during Lent, our midweek bible study on Provoking Proverbs will meet at 11AM in the Parkway basement. Our 7th and 8th grade Confirmation class will meet at 4:30PM in the Parkway basement. Both of these classes will meet this Wednesday.
Midweek Lenten Services starting February 17th
Just a reminder that the midweek Lenten services start with Ash Wednesday on February 17th. Services will be at 10AM and 6PM at the Parkway Campus. The theme this year is Hands of the Passion. We will be streaming the 6PM services for this season. Sign ups will be going out to sign up for either the 10AM, 6PM, or online services. Ash Wednesday will also have communion.

Zoom links will be coming this week for our Family Forum/Voters Meeting this Sunday. Make plans to join us in person at the Parkway Campus or online at 9:15! A few things we will be covering in our Voters Meeting will be the confirmation of the Leadership Team for the year. Pat Johnson is retiring after several years of service on the Worship Team. Well done, good and faithful servant! Matt Koepsell has been filling in for him in the interim and will be standing for election for that role. That being said, anyone else who would want to fill that role can also put their name in for that election. Let Sarah know in the office if you are interested.
Right after the Voters Meeting, we will be holding our fourth Call Meeting for a new pastor. (The same Zoom link will be used for all the meetings.) Join us and make your vote count! But most of all, pray for our church and a good outcome of this meeting!
Emily Suedmeier on maternity leave - New office hours
Starting February 1, Emily Suedmeier is on maternity leave! No baby news yet, but when we know, we’ll let you know! Sarah Behrens is taking over Emily’s time in the office for about six weeks, and the new hours that she will be there is 8-noon. If you have any questions, direct them to Sarah at those times and she will try to help you as well as Emily could. Pray for Emily as she starts her new role in life as a mom!
Ignite TNT Skating and Tubing Day
If you have a child in 5th-8th grade, make plans to join us this Saturday, January 30, in Green Bay’s Titletown District for some tubing and ice skating! Bethany is covering the cost of the entrance, but if you plan on skating and don’t have any skates, rentals are $5 a pair. We plan on skating/tubing from 1-4 PM, dependent on weather.
