Our new Bible study will begin next week!
Personal contact is one of the many casualties of COVID-19. Many of you have been separated from family and friends, and are only beginning to reconnect. As a congregation, we have been separated from one another and not able to enjoy many of the fellowship opportunities that we used to take for granted. Worship, Bible study, and meetings have all been carried out through online tools such as a Facebook and Zoom. And even now, as we are beginning to gather more and more, these online options are still in place and in use by many, and may be for some time. But let’s not forget the importance of personal contact, not only in our relationships with family members, friends, and church members, but also in the relationships we hope to build with those who need to hear the good news of Jesus. This study is based on Pastor David Rosenau’s keynote presentation at the WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership in January of 2020. Using powerful personal stories and drawing from his wealth of experience both as a detective and a parish pastor, Pastor Rosenau helps Christians understand why it is so important to see every soul as a treasure and why we want to be willing to spend the time and effort necessary to share the gospel with each one.
