Building Committee Update - October 2022
What has been happening with the future building project on our Lyndale campus?
A lot of work has been accomplished so far. Members of Bethany’s building committee and representatives from Keller Construction have had numerous meetings throughout the months of August, September, and October. Many of the early meetings have been discovery in nature for the Keller team as they get to know our congregation, our needs and wants for the new building, how we will use it and the ministries we intend to conduct with it. From there we have moved into several preliminary conceptual design discussions looking at our property, the building needs, and traffic flow options to find a recommendation that best meets our needs and is financially responsible. This is an iterative process and is the stage we are currently still working on. There are a lot of factors and options to consider in order to make sure we have looked at and evaluated as many options and scenarios as possible. Our goal is to provide more communications in the coming weeks and months as our team narrows down the best possible options and prepares to share them with you.
If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to Brett Birnschein, Chairman of the Bethany Building Committee.

Midweek Oasis - A Christian View of Death
Death touches everyone’s life. All of us have experienced the death of a friend or relative. Unless Jesus returns while we are still alive, all of us will die. Even though medical science has been able to prolong life, it has not been able to eliminate death. In this our Midweek Oasis Bible study, we will consider what God says about death and dying. Please join us on Wednesday mornings from 10-11am in the lower level fellowship hall on our Parkway Campus, as Pastor Brown leads .
Sunday Studies - Salt & Light
“Be in the world, but not of the world.” From the very beginning, God has called his people to stand in contrast to the rest of the unbelieving world. In Matthew 5, during his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus illustrates this idea by calling his disciples both “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world.” But what exactly do “salt” and “light” look like in the lives of Christians? How does Scripture define these terms and activities? Might there also be some misunderstandings about them which have crept into our hearts or even into the general Christian community? Please join us during our Sunday Bible Study hour at 10:15 a.m. in the lower level fellowship hall of the Parkway Campus. as we seek answers to these questions—and many more—by looking to God’s own words in Scripture. Pastor Johnston will lead our Sunday Studies.
