LWMS Door Offering

Each year, the LWMS Paperland Circuit decides on two mission projects to support with their funds. This weekend, we will be gathering a special door offering on your way out of church for these missions. If you’d like to write a check in support of this – please make it out to LWMS. The missions this year are:

First Public Service Assistance - Your gifts will assist home mission churches in purchasing studies to help them plan their outreach efforts. These studies help the new home mission churches reach out effectively in order to understand the makeup of their neighborhoods.

Bangladesh Projects - A young Christian man from Bangladesh became a WELS member while living in America. He expressed his desire to share the gospel with more Muslims, so he enrolled in the Pastoral Studies Institute (PSI). After his father’s passing, he inherited two Bible schools in Bangladesh that train evangelists. He has asked the WELS to provide solid scriptural training for these individuals. WELS is also working with this man to run two international friendship centers in his Midwest city and across the border in Canada. Your gifts will provide Bibles in Bangladesh and other general support for mission work occurring in North America and in Bangladesh.

New Sermon Series - Our Shared Vision at Bethany

Our mission statement at Bethany is to live our faith and share Jesus' love with all people—one heart and home at a time. The vision for how we strive to carry out this mission is summed up in just four words: gather, grow, serve, and share. The words themselves are simple enough to understand, but to live them and practice them is a much greater task. In our sermon series beginning next week, we will explore what it means and what it looks like when we are living out our shared vision here at Bethany.

o August 12-14 Gather Pastor Johnston

o August 19-21 Grow Pastor Brown
