Rental Work
The volunteers have been working diligently to prepare the Erb St rental property for the new tenants. Our goal is June 1st. There are still a number of projects to complete. We have two closets, the back door landing and stairwell, the stairs leading to the second floor and most of the door,window and baseboard trim left to paint. Parts of the basement walls require mortar repair. The entire house will need a thorough cleaning as well. We also have a good sized pile of trash that needs removal beside the garage. If you are willing and able to assist with any of these projects please contact Judy Priebe at 847-244-7668.
Adopt a Flower
As the landscaping work continues around the property most of the current flower beds will be removed. If any members would be interested in removing any of the plants for their own gardens or to provide a temporary home until the work is complete feel free to help yourself prior to May 29th. There are many healthy perennials available.
Yard Work Day
We are tentatively planning a major yard work day for May 30. We plan to have a brush chipper onsite to dispose of the tree and shrub waste we have accumulated. We also plan to remove the accumulated mulch from around the foundation of the church in preparation for stump removal and concrete replacement. Please consider giving us a hand.
